Senior Finance Manager's Role:
The Senior Finance Manager will be at the heart of AUAF's financial operations, overseeing grant management, donor reporting, payroll, audits, and compliance. They will ensure financial reports are accurate and timely, providing stakeholders with valuable insights.
Key Responsibilities:
- Financial Compliance: Ensure AUAF's financial policies and donor requirements are met.
- Reporting Excellence: Produce accurate financial and grant reports on time.
- Budget Management: Support budget monitoring and financial planning.
- System Improvement: Continuously enhance finance systems and processes.
Core Tasks:
- Update and review the Student Finance Manual.
- Prepare and supervise liquidation and reimbursement reports for the U.S. Department of State (DOS).
- Generate quarterly financial reports and SF-425 reports for DOS.
- Manage cash advance requests and various financial reports.
- Oversee national and international payrolls.
- Handle scholarships, student finance, and accounts receivable processes.
- Assist with accounting activities and Dynamics 365 issues.
- Perform additional tasks as assigned.
Skills Needed:
- Teamwork: Ability to collaborate effectively in a team.
- Deadline Management: Work efficiently under pressure.
- Excel Proficiency: Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel.
- Communication: Strong communication and customer service skills.
- Attention to Detail: High level of detail-oriented and analytical thinking.
Qualifications:
- Education: Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, or a related field.
- Technical Skills: Experience with accounting applications or ERP systems. Microsoft Business Central (BC) knowledge is a plus.
Professional Background:
- Experience: 7+ years in finance, accounting, or grants management.
- Donor Projects: Proven experience with donor-funded projects, preferably in education or non-profit sectors.
- Payroll and Audits: Demonstrated expertise in payroll review, financial reporting, and audit processes.
